RENO, Nev.— The Reno Bighorns punched their ticket to the postseason Wednesday night with a 100-89 victory over the Erie BayHawks in the Reno Events Center.

An evening-long battle came to a head in the fourth quarter Wednesday night when Erie’s Ivan Johnson drilled a three-pointer to give Erie (27-15) a 76-75 lead with 8:57 remaining in the ballgame. But the Bighorns answered with a 14-0 run on 6-for-6 shooting from the field over the next three-plus minutes to take a lead they would not relinquish.

Marcus Landry led five Bighorns in double figures with a game-high 27 points on the night, finishing with 10 boards and five assists. Patrick O’Bryant notched a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Donald Sloan chipped-in 13 points and seven assists. Reno shot 50 percent from the floor and outrebounded the BayHawks, 47-39.

Johnson paced Erie with 24 points on a 10-of-18 night from the field, including three three-pointers. Erik Daniels scored 15 points off the bench, and Blake Ahearn added 17 points, six boards and five assists.

Reno now hits the road for four-straight against Utah and Sioux Falls. First-up is a weekend series against the Flash on Friday and Saturday night.
